Let's say RDS "fought extradition" (which he cannot) and won (which he cannot), then Trump could never leave Florida ever again.
If he's playing politics, RDD should offer to try

Ron could have said despite our minor differences between Trump and myself, I will look into what I can do to thwart extradition in this political persecution by the NY DA.
Our Republic under attack by the left is what I take seriously. It's what I focus on every day as Governor of Florida, protecting the constitutional rights of every Floridian.
Just my opinion, just as it's my opinion I hate Trump attacking Ron like he did in 2016. He has a record he should be running on. If it is stout, it should be enough in the primaries.

Seems to me his best play would be to at least pay lip service to backing Trump whether he cares or not. This is playing right into the hands of the Dems for 2024
Again, several months of off base pot shots from a former president to his parties best governor, and NOW you're worried about "playing into the Dems hands." The mental contortions yall go through are insane.

You sound so much like the leftists wanting Trump to "well if your not guilty turn over your taxes"
That's not at all this. In politics you get accused then you should say something. If you don't then voters fill in the void. Even a flat denial is better than silence. If he's going to run that's what I'd like to see

Then he'd look like an 85-IQ moron.

If Trump is in NY why would extradition be necessary?

It's complete unhinged lunacy. I can't tell a difference, anymore, from where a leftist stops and a Trump sycophant begins. They are the same person in mannerism and logic.

I agree with Desantis that SO FAR its rumors swirling.
I do expect a more serious response if it materializes. Assuming he intends to run for National Office…

He gave a very serious response to the prosecution.
Ignore Trump. What else do you want him to say about the prosecution?

It looks like the Ron cheerleader downvote squad petered out around page 5. Not bad

There is nothing to look into.
It would be like him (seriously) saying that he would look into the pot of gold at the end of the last rainbow he saw.

I never heard this part.
Ron is too busy.

#BREAKING NEWS: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says "we are not involved in this, won't be involved in this" re: Trump's possible arrest, while slamming Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg.
"I've got to spend my time on issues that actually matter to people."
