Some urban areas are seeing a slowdown in their economies

quote:

The Washington area’s job market appears to be pumping its brakes, newly released employment numbers suggest, as last year’s federal budget uncertainty, two brief government shutdowns and turmoil within some agencies made life difficult for federal contractors.

The region added 43,800 jobs during the one-year period that ended in January, reflecting a continuation of the stagnant local job growth that seemed to define the previous year. The total was a far cry from 2016, a boom year for the D.C. economy, when the metropolitan area consistently added more than 60,000 jobs a month.

Note to liberal/socialist utopians.

Utopia can never exist on the mortal plane of existence. But Hell can. As a matter of fact, the more one tries to enforce utopia upon the masses, the more hellish the world becomes.

I’d advise utopian seekers to go religion shopping.

Considering D.C. is full of government and government-related jobs, I can see why they are struggling. The economic boom has been for private industry. Government jobs grow when government grows, and government job growth is usually independent of the private sector as the government can create jobs as it sees fit while non-government employers only add jobs when it is economically viable to do so.

You have revealed a hidden reasoning behind the all-out effort to Oust the Orange Outsider from the Oval Office.

You have revealed the main reason why the Outsider Reformer and his Movement will be relentlessly attacked by the "powers-that-be" who gain generational wealth, prestige, power and influence by having a huge US FedGov that never stops growing, never stops over-spending, and never stops expanding its control over more and more of the private sector.

The wealthiest counties of the entire USA include the few counties in Wash DC, because of this Trillion Dollar Gravy Train called the US FedGov.

This living and sentient entity known as the US FedGov will fight to destroy any Outsider Reformer who threatens to end the Trillion Dollar Gravy Train.

That's why this sentient entity wants to make sure that Trump is the very last Outsider Reformer to dare threaten its existence.

Liberalism is their religion. They are liberals first, and any faith they may have in a higher power or being is seen through the prism of liberalism. If there is conflict between the two, liberalism comes first.

So you want Utopia Seekers to go sign up with some people who spend literally their entire lives trying to get to Utopia in the next life? Sounds really smart
