He was arrested in 2008, just a year later, and cut a deal to avoid federal charges and spent 13 months in Florida state prison

No your point was Giuliani was universally loved until he represented Trump.

Wrong. Giuliani has been an idiot ever since he left the mayor's office and hitched his wagon to the Colin Powell speaking engagement gift tour. He has been a joke long before representing Trump.

That Colin Powell, Giuliani, and the rest of those turds going on their nationwide gift tour was a joke. He's been a laughingstock since his failed presidential campaigns. Has zero to do with Trump.

Indeed. He was investigated starting in 2005.

So no. Not "over a decade before Epstein was arrested."

Glad we got that cleared up.

In what world would you connect that a wealthy man that likes younger WOMEN means he is involved with trafficking children? Go to any hospital in this country and you’ll find a Doc with a wife 20 plus years younger. That is in no way an indication of being a pedo
I said nothing of pedophilia. Epstein's tastes seemed to run more to teens, not little girls.

All that will be irrelevant because Daddy Teflon-Don will be back in charge of the USA as POTUS in 2024. Bank account on it.

2005, I think.

Immediately after the two them cross swords on a real estate purchase. Both of them tried REALLY hard to buy the Gosman mansion (Maison de L'Amitié) out of bankruptcy, and Trump eventually won the auction. In the lead-up, both of them had some ... very uncomplimentary ... things to say about one another to the bankruptcy Trustee.

Two weeks after the auction, Palm Beach police got a tip, and Epstein was under investigation for his proclivity for underage females.

It is not entirely unreasonable to deduce that (a) Trump dumped Epstein over business, not teenage girls, (b) Trump was aware of Epstein's interest in teenage girls before the split, and (c) Trump sic'd the cops on Epstein as retaliation for the ... unsavory ... behavior surrounding the real estate deal.

good lord. No better example of DB than this. Everyone knew exactly what I was talking about, including you.

Instead of addressing the overall point you pick some semantic non relevant issue to argue. Even though nobody else is arguing against it.

It wouldn’t do well in court, but it’s quite effective at derailing threads. Big win, bud.

Complete speculation that paints trump in the worst light possible. Color me shocked.

The real answer? It's complicated.

All of the stuff about the ridiculousness of the charges has merit. All of the arguments about how it is dangerous career wise for a lawyer to work for Trump have merit as well. That's not the real issue though, you can always get a good lawyer if you have a big checkbook.

The real problem is Trump is running short on cash. His PAC and campaign are getting low on funds with big expenses and burn rate. Big dollar donors that are critical have all but dried up so he just has the small dollar ones. It takes a hell of a lot of $30 donations to make up for one $1 million one This of course is separate from actually running a campaign and living a billionaire lifestyle

Trump himself is asset rich but not cash flow rich. Hotels and properties are worth a lot but they don't throw off huge amounts of cash. He also is losing his arse cash flow wise with Truth Social which has turned into a financial bust with Elon buying Twitter. So in order to come up with big money he needs to sell assets which has other problems. If he put Bedminster up for sale for instance the PR hit would be massive and even if he did and sold it it's not like he would get a check next week. Assets like that could take months or even a year or longer to sell and then close. In short he is exposed. The other problem is he has garbage credit and not a lot of folks are willing to float him serious coin even at a high interest rate to get him through, in part because his expenses are likely to rise more than decrease.

I don't celebrate this, I think it sucks. The reality is though Trump is fricked and things are going to get a lot worse for him financially. There is no easy solution here. That's why he is trying to get DeSantis and everyone else to drop out. That's why he wants them to give him money and combine forces. He doesn't have it and it's not coming, not in the amounts he needs for the next year plus of this campaign and legal matters.

It's also especially disgusting because Biden is essentially using our tax dollars to use Federal lawyers to bankrupt Trump who has to pay for his lawyers.

Its more likely that Trump heard jokes and rumors like everyone else in that circle, and didn't really believe them (or didn't want to) until the MAL incident.

Look bud, you were wrong. It would've been much simpler if you would've just admitted that.

Without the specific timeline, this wouldn't have been a thing. You tried to set it up as Trump being well ahead of everyone else on recognizing who Epstein was, and you failed.
