Gawd---are you being obtuse intentionally or do you really want such a twerp with the power of the US government dictating to private companies what they will and will not produce?

I could not agree more.
The unemployment kicker is terrible.
You will see companies that we're trying to keep people on payroll decide to furlough them to save payroll because the feds are picking it up.
You could see unemployment hit 30+%.
They would have been better off giving businesses that 600/wk as a grant to keep people on payroll.
When this is done, what do you think will happen to the unemployment insurance rate?
Trying to hire anyone during this 4 month period will be next to impossible

It is NOT a stimulus bill. It is intended as relief.
There actually is a difference.

I'm just trying to decipher your true reasons for calling him a "twerp". That's all. I mean... who would you have preferred?

I would have preferred nobody in the role but there is a long list of business people that would be better suited for this bureaucratic role than that idiot.
What in his resume do you admire so much? Do you agree with his platform as a politician? his support of the Clintons and other democrats? his inability to successfully organize a political campaign?

Same here.

fixed it so there is no misunderstanding
or even clearer---I would have preferred there be no such position in government.

Seems to me, the incentive is there for those who want to make sure they have a job when the freebies are up.

Point out numbnuts where I have EVER advocated for an expansion of government. I participated hands on in a war against big government-small people so my credentials are credible. I do realize that a people driven economy is not just necessary to ensure the rights of all citizens it is imperative that action be taken to save it. Which our leaders just agreed with overwhelmingly. May I also suggest that you also see that necessity since you truly can't be that blind.
You are merely the worst of the worst. A cancer looking for an advantage in a desperate time looking for political talking points to back up your personal hatreds. Your team lost, now get over it and do better next time.

No they won't. Not everyone will get 600 dollars added to their unemployment. It is designed to bring a unemployed person back up to what their income was at the time they got laid off. 600 bucks is the max that will be added to your benefits.
And you could not be more wrong. Everyone will get $600.00 for corona related furlough or losing their job. Period. The reason behind the supplement was to bridge the gap between state unemployment benefits and actual pay. They used one generic formula and took a NATIONAL average of worker wages for one week which came out to $1,000 per week. State unemployment insurance on average was intended to be about 40 to 45% of workers' weekly pay. They arrived at the $600.00 a week number for the supplement. Way too complicated and time-consuming to do individual state formulas. Poorer states with lower COL and wages will have many workers making getting more during this than they normally make, as this is added to the weekly employment benefit of each state.. And this is why.

I earned the right to call a leftist fruitcake out in the sixties. One who hates this country for two main reasons: (1) His "TEAM" lost in 2016. and (2) The current president has been hugely successful while your loser pig has proven in the aftermath to be just that, a petulant, hateful pig. (And just maybe because your wild eyed party leaders have lead you astray with their promises to unwind the decision of the American people).
I support America and our democracy and remaining freedoms and the economic dynamo that underpins both. Which is on dangerous ground right now. If helping small businesses who employ the majority of America's workers is part of that support then you damn right I support those businesses whether they are making condoms or sunscreen, milking cows or building sprockets for auto's.

You are an idiot if you think me a leftist. You have no reading comprehension abilities. Leave this thread alone.
I voted for Trump---he is no conservative BTW. I have never voted for a democrat. I bet you voted for the Talmadges and Carter if you have been in Georgia long enough---I never did when I lived there. Screw you jimdog.
