I cannot envision a better candidate to unify the GOP after the Trump years.

- Steadfast in his loyalty to Trump during presidency.
- Follows the Pence Rule so will be welcome change for morality voters looking for scandal stability
- Good at playing the political game.
- Pro-Life
- Time Traveller
- Name Recognition
- Can help nation pray the gay away

What's not to like?

Although Trump casts a yuuuuuge shadow, Pence has been especially good at not getting noticed within it. That leaves questions in my mind as to actual leadership ability.

Because of that I would rather Nikki Haley.

You lost me.

I would like to see Rand Paul or Ted Cruz (assuming Trump can't get him on the SCOTUS), personally

2020

Loses to Cruz in close one.
Pences refusal to condemn trump during the impeachment hearings gives Cruz the edge as cruz's father leads the cheers when trumps moving truck pulls away.

I believe after 8 years of the presidential experience, he’ll head towards retirement. Who would want 8 more years in this political environment? Lol

6 years is a long time from now. Who knows what will change in 6 years? Did you think that a black man could be elected in 2002? I sure as hell didn't.

If trump gets re-elected in 2020, and Pence is his VP, then he will be the nominee in 2024.

I am sure there would be more likeable or trumpian candidates out there. But the nomination would be Pence's to lose.

Also remember only once since WWII, have we seen one party rule for 12 years. Chances are the dems win in 2024, if they don't win in 2020.

Pence will not win a general election. Way too much baggage on gays and abortion. America does not want an evangelical President. Trump spoke to evangelical voters about their values, but everyone is well aware he is a cosmopolitan playboy from New York.

If Trump loses in 2020, Haley would be a great pick.

Part of running for President is having the ability to relate to people, you either have it or you don't. As we've seen in every election some people (Obama, Trump, Clinton, GWB) have it while others (McCain, Dole, HRC, Gore) either don't have it or don't have enough of it. I think Haley's presence and straight-forward manner enhances that. My pick of her is predicated on the hope that she continues being such a strong force for the US in the UN (or at least in whatever other position she may end up in).

My hope is that some time between now and 2024, Pence somehow gets a personality.....the man is boring as hell

I can get on board with the idea of the first woman president being a republican, because it takes the vinegar out of the left and would be a troll of them for a hundred years.

Haley is fricking awful though.
