I wonder how they’ll articulate the reason that he’s too disabled to run for President, but able to still perform the duties of the President.
It’s not like they’re going to say “I can’t win”

Biden can release his delegates to Kamala.
Kamala is the only option at replacement.

I’m thinking Harris -Whitmer. They must win Michigan
Whitmer plays well in all the states they need even if she doesnt poll well nationally.
She terrible, but shes term limited and I bet they go with her or PA Gov Josh Shapiro who might have the highest potential of any of the DNC candidates long term.

Biden won’t drop his delegates until his demands have been met. And with Hunter directly involved in the negotiations, you can bet there will be plenty of indulgences extracted.
TPTB can always tell Hunter to go shite in his hat. There’ll be nothing and he’ll like it, because there are ways of making this all go away, none of which he’ll like.

Shapiro seems to be a true moderate, but doesn’t have national name recognition yet. He’d be smart to stay away from this stink.

Worth noting Biden does hold the very important card of having THREE options with those candidates to prevent the open vote and introduction of SuperDelegates:
1. stay in race, keep the delegats
2. release them (as you noted)
3. pledge them to whomever he wants
#3 could make it very ugly. Not that Dems follow the rules anyway.

Simply not true. He can release the delegates and then they can choose to pick any candidate who comes forward. Biden can not mandate the delegates go to his choice. He can keep them or release them.

No way he resigns. That would leave the vice presidency vacant. President Harris would select a new VP, but that pick would need to be confirmed by both chambers of Congress. Mike Johnson would be next in line until that happens.
