Fifteen year olds are not tried as adults in this state.

There is amendment fatigue, for sure. They need a convention. Yes, that's messy and a lot of hard work, but if they want to do this, they should do a convention.

That Amendment 2 might be the fiasco that prompts this - a mini-convention all on its own.

They’ll get out at 17 and kill more people. Happens pretty frequently

Juvenile LWOP sentences don’t end at 17, which shows you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Also there isn’t one single juvenile lifer who has been granted parole here who has killed anyone else. It has literally never happened so how can it happen pretty frequently? You’re either ignorant, lying, or both.

Aren’t these decisions made by District Attorneys now? Voters probably trust their local DA more than the legislature in Baton Rouge. That does not make them idiots. Maybe you are an idiot.

Why don’t you link some of the murders committed by juvenile lifers who are granted parole since they happen so frequently.

Has there ever been a violent criminal you didn’t want to defend?

I never said anything to that effect. But you who is so sure that it never happened should be able to easily show your work to the class since you are positive it's never happened before

Apparently the fact that that was the whole point of the amendment escapes you...

How does someone show evidence of an event that hasn’t happened?

Ok. So you can't prove anything that you just said. Got it.

You’re right. I’m unable to provide evidence for something that has never happened.

Prove to me you havent raped and murdered someone. I’ll wait.

Maybe you could serve as a halfway house for some of these yutes prior to them being turned loose on the rest of us. The rate of recidivism is very high. At least Louisiana is down to 1/4 from 1/3 in 2018. Maybe they are killing each other off quicker

Murder and other violent crimes have always allowed certain juveniles to be tried as adults. Think of the most horrible crimes. They were always on the list. This was an open invite for the legislature to add more crimes to that list.

Maybe you should move to a state that locks kids up for longer than we do.
