If Downer went into the meeting with the intention of recording papadoupolos, that means the investigation was already underway.

Isn't that a significant alteration to the timeline? It means papadoupolos big mouth was not the genesis of the investigation.

All I know is that if we can’t get to the bottom of this whole fiasco our country is a lost cause. Gotta hope and pray Durham is an honorable man.

a few interesting facts:

Papad's wife Simona Mangiante was introduced to Misfud in around 2012 by a member of the EU parliament. At the time Simona was a staffer for two officials in the EU parliament. When her contract expired in 2016, Gianni Pittella (EU parliament) suggested she goes to work for Misfud at the London Centre of International Law Practice.. which is where Papad and Misfud worked. The fact that they worked for the same practice seems to get glossed over nearly 100% of the time.

“George had nothing to do with Russia,” said Mangiante, who has acted as a sort of spokeswoman for her husband in the months since his plea deal.

Mangiante also said Papadopoulos “pled guilty because [Mueller’s prosecutors] threatened to charge him with being an Israeli agent.”

I suspect they (Misfud/Papad/people at their firm) were already being monitored by US intelligence. Papad was actively trying to find work in US presidential campaigns and it seems likely that he caught the attention of our intelligence community.

it may change the timeline. not sure. we don't know when or what kind of information the brits and aussies passed on about these guys. wouldn't shock me a tiny bit if the official story is changed to protect a different operation or other sensitive/embarassing material. like one of our allies (Israel) having an informant inside the Trump campaign (papad).

PapaD was fed the information previously by Misfud and Downer was trying to pull it out. It was a push/pull set up.
