But, the argument before the Supreme Court will be fascinating.

Not particularly.

This will be the same boring shite as when Leftists argue that the 2A shouldn't apply to assault weapons because they didn't exist when the 2A was written.

Birthright citizenship is also a product of colonial times. It made it easier on the governments of the new world. Only 3 countries of the eastern hemisphere have unrestricted birthright citizenship. Which is Chad, Lesotho and Tanzania. All found in Africa.

He wants SCOTUS to make a final ruling and I don't think they'll overturn his order.

USSC will likely cite United States v. Wong Kim Ark as precedent and the whole thing will be sent back to congress who would need a two thirds vote to change the constitution.

So yeah, it gets overturned.

Lastly, while it's possible, overturning WKA would be the height of hypocrisy from Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch.

Oh noz!! Amend that crap.

I have little problem with the "citizenship" of the child born here. But that should have zero impact for the parents or relatives. They have to go back.

And if they 'abandon' their child here, they forfeit all right to ever become citizens themselves.

So - come here - drop the kid - take the kid back to your home country with you. Congrats - you now have a kid with dual citizenship and the benefit of being able to return to the USA as an adult citizen.

Parents, on the other hand, still have to go thru whatever process was/is in place to become citizens.

Keep supporting illegals right to be here and thinking they have the same entitlements as you, you are just as much of a problem as them coming into our country.

The United States shouldn’t be the dumping ground for low iq, uneducated, unskilled third world citizens. That’s what we’ve essentially been since the Mariel boatlift in 1980. Countries send their undesirables here and we take them in and give them tons of handouts at expense of American taxpayers. It has to end. We’ve got 30 to 40 million of them here. It’s unsustainable.

It would be better if Congress passed a law outlawing biryhright citizenship. That makes it very likely SCOTUS would eventually decide on merits.

With EO it is more likely the court cases end up being decided on a procedural ground as opposed to deciding the issue

He said nothing of the sort.

Jurisdiction is the power of a legal system to apply its power to a person.

If a court can try a person for a crime, they have jurisdiction over that person.

If a court does not have jurisdiction over that person, then they cannot try a person for a crime.

It really isn't about the anchor babies, but the families that then attach themselves to the baby and get citizenship as well.

Why wouldn't his EO be held up?

The text of the Amendment would seem to support "anchor babies," but in the context of passage, debate and crafting of the 14th Amendment, it is clear that it was intended only to protect the rights of blacks in the post Civil War era. The text has been perverted far beyond its intent.

My beliefs aren’t at issue here. It’s in the goddamn constitution. You ARE the problem. You pick and choose what suits your beliefs. Instead of going by the law.

A court of a relative contemporary time made the crucial ruling, in a textual and historical analysis.

Where did I say or imply that it was?

The 14A has the same weight as the 10 Amendments in the Bill of Rights.

You're making the same bad arguments leftists do with the 2A.
