Why is maternity tourism illegal?

You should look up what the guy who wrote the fricking amendment has to say about it, bub.
why would i read wong kim ark instead of the dude who wrote the amendment
quote:
.[E]very person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of person

they probably never thought that arresting illegal non-citizens would be interpreted as falling under the jurisdiction thereof.
Read Wong Kim Ark. You're wrong.

14th amendment was written and passed in the wake of the Civil War ending. It was specifically to address the citizenship of slaves and their children who previously weren’t considered citizens.

EO’s should not be the way to make this change. That said, when you have governmental leaders and representatives refusing to defend their own constituents’ rights, you end up with these messes.
Simplest solution is to amend the constitution and end this stupidity, but Democrats will never do it because they don’t care about common sense and actual rights.
Republicans don’t care because all they care about is cheap labor and an incentive to get them here.
The legislature should legislate this issue through an amendment. That is Congress's job. The judicial should not be legislating from the bench, and the President should not be legislating through executive order. EO is the worst form of governance.

Still waiting for your answer to my two questions. Would you let illegals in your home and what do you think about how Canada restricts people for 10 years for a DUI while we let aliens in who come from jails in third world countries.

Problem with this is that all of those defending this like SFP would rather keep bad laws on the books rather than fix the problem to match the intent.
This is a straw man.
I've said they can change this with the amendment process. That's how you change our Constitution.
I'm not "defending" anything other than our legal system and what the actual law of the land is.

go back a few pages. I posted a portion of the historical analysis from WKA.

I’d like to hear his thoughts on how our neighbors in Canada won’t admit anyone into their country for 10 years after a DUI in the United States or any other country.
My legal analysis: that's Canada's law.

Where were you when Joe was signing EO after EO?
Posted on 1/22/25 at 9:47 am to SaintsTiger
How broad is the EO? I assume it doesn’t cover, e.g., the children of immigrants who escaped Castro in the60’s… but I haven’t read it.

No I'm working out the problems you're having with ambiguity.
Did GA have the power to prosecute Laken Riley's killer?

You haven’t answered and dodging the question if you’d let illegals in your house ,,,

Cite the specific law/case so I can answer your question.

One doesn't

I’m asking what makes them “anchors.”
THIS is the core of the problem.
seems the answer is simple - grant the kid his citizenship and 'deport' the whole family. The parents can leave the child if they provide for proper custody - but NOT as a dependent on the taxpayer.
IF the parents try to ABANDON the child, threat them like anyone else who would dump a kid in an unprotected environment.
They can put the kid up for adoption, leave him in the custody of approved family/organization, or take him with them,
In any case, don't give the parents any benefits paid for by US taxpayers.
seems simple to me
