"Conservatives" screamed bloody murder when strings were attached to bailout money for the banks. It was proof that Obama was "communist".

Conservatives werent in favor of the govt picking winners and losers and were not in favor of govt bribing these companies to do their bidding

I wouldn't take it to heart. Just a guess - but I think that post was facetious, and in response to liberal politicians/officials who have taken that attitude about Trump supporters on a whole host of things. Recently, didn't we have some asking Trump supporters to sign an agreement to not accept the use of a ventilator if they end up with C-19 and in an ICU? This sort of thing probably happens so much you don't even notice it.

They shouldn't be, nor should they be bailing out poorly run businesses or households.

Do I think we should help out states that have taken a tax revenue hit tied to things like reduced vacation, travel, and other direct expenses tied to their planned tax base? I could probably be convinced with some serious restrictions.

Additional funding to bail out pensions or to help balance their current budgets from mismanagement in the past? You are insane if people think conservatives will support that.

Do these states not have balanced budget requirements? at a minimum, any state that doesn’t should just be told, tough shite borrow or run a deficit like you always have

Next time Florida or Louisiana gets hit by a hurricane maybe nobody should help them.

Because hurricanes are passed by state legislatures and signed into law by governors.

Now do the rankings for federal dependency

Defined as what? Welfare programs or pension/benefit/healthcare costs for retired government workers? How about military based and their costs, etc?
Subtract those numbers from the equation and rework the numbers.

It's all a joke, but liberals cite the BS all the time as if because the "data" is sourced to a website ending with .org, it has credibility.

It would be interesting to do a well thought out detailed analysis.

Does this count all of the freebies DC gives Wall Street, etc.? Reason 1049 why NYC needs to be a free city and leave the rest of us alone.

Great question. Why is the west coast subsidizing the entire American south?

B/c the DC has hampered the south from controlling its own destiny? From education to trade policy, the south is bent over. The welfare $$$$ is a bribe to pacify people.

They aren’t? Only “donor state” on the west coast currently is Washington. Sorry your info is outdated.
