Why is there so much anger here for DeSantis?

If Gillum had been elected, Florida would be a disaster zone right now. Looking at the board, it seems DeSantis has pushed every issue in the direction that most here want to see.

Because he exhibits most of the quality political and governing attributes Trump had without most of the undesirable behaviors and personal baggage. Some here don’t like that such a person exists.

It's manufactured. Never Trumpers have fallen for it and taken the bait. They are antagonizing Trump voters. Trump voters have fallen for it as well. They have assumed Desantis is part of the same group of Never Trumpers.

Because of the pieces of shite who are all of the sudden sucking his dick. It’s only natural to question what game they are playing. They don’t hate trump because of he’s abrasive. They hate him because he was gonna throw a wrench in their power/money machine. If Desantis truly had similar motives, he’d be just as toxic to them. But he’s not. Why?
Edit: I’m not there yet with Desantis. I’m still hopeful he’s the real deal. But the way he’s currently being portrayed has me cautious.

No. Desantis is a dead horse that's being beaten every other thread. Let it play out naturally if at all. If he's going to represent in the national level then let him do it. Y'all are doing Desantis zero favors parading his name around like y'all do.

Maybe it’s too early to say with certainty, but everything I've see tells me DeSantis has the intelligence and temperament to handle it just fine.

He actually led his state to a red wave, cleaned up elections, fought for parents, went after Disney, fought Faucci (and trump) over lockdowns and refused to cater to a woke mob while turning a purple state deep red.

Buddy of mine is 100% convinced that DeSantis will win 2024 in a landslide and that nothing that the Dems do will matter because the margins will be so big. I don't necessarily agree with that, but I still like DeSantis and will vote for him if he's the best choice.
That being said, I'm still on the Trump Train. I know what I'm getting with Trump and I think after another two years of this shitshow economy, things will be interesting with the race between Dems/Trump/DeSantis. I'm willing to let it play out for now, but I'm also halfway out the door on Republicans altogether.
Hopefully DeSantis is the real deal and can do some damage either in 2024 or 2028 because love him or hate him, this is Trump's last time running. We have to be prepared for life after Trump whether he wins or loses.
