Why is the Cuomo nursing home scandal picking up steam now?

Why? All of us who are regular posters and/or who follow alternative media knew about this nearly a year ago.
And, for the record Cuomo wasn't the only state governor sending sick, wu flu infected residents back to nursing homes.

It gives the media the opportunity to remind us (repeatedly) how deadly the Wuhan strain is and then the media will provide cover for Cuomo by shifting the blame to Trump.

Remember when we all called this out in the beginning but were told to shut and and that Cuomo was the best governor in the country when it came to Covid? We were told it was just a conspiracy theory

Reporting it on it before the election would have exposed the false narrative democrats and the media used to influence the 2020 election, which was that the Trump administration was a total disaster at handling COVID, and democrats would do a far far far far better job.
Rich Baris on Charlie Kirk said COVID was the #1 issue for voters who voted Biden and then for Republicans down ballot. His polling showed that Biden-Republican split ticket voters named COVID as their #1 issue and of those voters 80% of them said Biden would do a better job.
They bought the lie that the Trump administration was a disaster at handling COVID and a Biden administration would quickly eradicate it.
Now the election is over they can report on it after the fact as a kind of saving face manuever. First of all it won't matter, Cuomo will get re-elected if he wants. If he doesn't run, a democrat will win NY governor anyway. So this is how the media can say they didn't ignore the story. No different than the NYT issuing the retraction on the "murdered" capitol police officer yesterday. They issue the retraction AFTER the deadline passes for political benefit.

Had the Cuomo nursing home death and cover up stories gotten the attention they deserved when the information was known, it would have taken away a lot of the narrative that all things COVID was Trump’s fault. Trump is gone now. There’s no longer a downside to the truth.

They're going to get that done, probably in 2023 - delicate because they know the mid-terms are going to be rough, so she could be coming in at a legislative disadvantage (depending on their "ground game"
). I think the plan is, shortly after January 20, 2023 , 46* will have to step down "for health reasons".
The only threat to that plan is that he might not make it that far.

Because we love our old people and the AARP is one hell of a lobby/voting block … but it wasn't big enough to overcome the need to destroy Trump, so it was pushed to the back burner and now that Trump is out someone has to blamed (and it sure as frick won’t be Biden - so Cuomo is getting sacrificed for the good of the party).

The aid came out and said they hid the truth of the mass murders, so Trump couldn’t use it as an example of Democratic leadership, and it’s contrast, going into an election
