How about the kids parents!
Kids should be taught to NOT idolize public figures. When I was a little boy my mom and dad was who I looked to for guidance and that hasn't changed.

There are some good FEMALE role models in the New Testament, but the books are primarily focused on Jesus and His Apostles (all men if you weren't already aware). Most stories about women in the New Testament are given briefly, often without even identifying the names of the women.
The Old Testament goes into much deeper detail about some of the women presented there.
