my guess is they are expecting one more major city outbreak like chicago. Some of those travelers from Florida over spring break will likely spread it and it just hasn't hit our radar yet. I imagine New York and New Orleans will start to hit their peak this weekend.

Every doctor I know outside of New Orleans is sitting at home doing nothing. Emergencies only.

combo of many states gov lax attitudes and lack of testing.
just as h1n1 eventually hit every burg in iowa and montana, cv19 will make it to piddletown idaho by and by. piddletown has 2 ventilators and a 30 bed hospital with 5 icu for
3,500 people.

Well, my hospital/surgeon just postponed my back surgery, scheduled for April 7, because they "expect" to be full of Covid patients
That’s 100% a lie.

Ponchatoula, North Oaks hospital. My surgeon called me personally last week to tell me I was a go, for this next surgery, (after the one I had in October). He regarded my procedure to be critical and not "elective". Had this appointment scheduled after he called, only to be told, "things have changed".
So, he didn’t tell you it was because they are expecting the hospital to be full of corona patients?

Your intent is to drive the fear narrative.

Wasn’t this the intent all along with all of the measures that have been taken? Trump himself last week said the peak would be in June or July.

Why is our apex projected to be so lengthened in comparison to other countries?

And the vast majority of them support the quarantine measures as harmful as it is to them personally.

Guessing an answer to OP question.
If you were exposed today (day 1) you might not show signs for about 2 weeks. Example, 1st case in New Orleans was 13 days after Fat Tuesday.
If you could then be sick for about week or two then from day 1 to being no longer sick could be around the 21-28 day mark.
Since they started the social distancing thing a couple weeks ago, then the peak should start going down about 21-28 days from then.
Math sucks but you get idea.

I never stated otherwise.
And it's as much to save PPE and hospital beds as it is quarantine measures.
