He has won EIGHT elections for that seat. You think his fooled his constituents all those times?

Yes, it happens all the time.

Or...just maybe...hear me out, he votes with Republicans over 92% of the time, and his constituents like the way he votes.
Again, hate on Massie all you want, but for "voting like a Democrat" is illogical.

So did MTG and iirc 98% of republicans vote in favor of trumps policies.

The lie was that "Massie votes like a Democrat, but fools his constituents." Massie doesn't vote like a Democrat.

Like when he voted with the Dems to raise the debt ceiling under Obama?

OK. That's one vote several years ago. You agree that he's been fooling his constituents in all their subsequent votes to return Massie to Congress???
Here's what ChatGPT says:
Here’s what the **record shows about how Rep. Thomas Massie voted on key debt-ceiling increases during Barack Obama’s presidency and related proposals:
?? 2011 Debt Ceiling / Budget Control Act
The Budget Control Act of 2011 was the major law that resolved the 2011 debt-ceiling crisis by allowing an increase in the debt limit tied to spending cuts and caps. It passed the House on August 1, 2011 (269–161) and was signed by President Obama. ?
Wikipedia
Massie opposed debt limit increases across his early time in Congress, consistently voting “no” on standalone debt increases and related measures during the 2011 crisis (e.g., he opposed the Full Faith and Credit Act/stealth debt limit increase in 2013). ?
massie.house.gov
While the exact roll-call vote for Massie on the Budget Control Act of 2011 isn’t in the readily available public summaries, his long-standing principle at that time was to vote against debt increases absent substantial fiscal reforms. Public statements from Massie’s office confirm his opposition to efforts to raise the debt ceiling around that period. ?
massie.house.gov
Bottom line:
?? Massie did not support the 2011 debt ceiling increase as part of the Budget Control Act; he opposed debt increases at that time. ?
massie.house.gov
?? 2013–2014 Debt Ceiling Actions (Temporary Debt Limit Extension)
In February 2014, the House passed the Temporary Debt Limit Extension Act (a “clean” suspension of the debt ceiling) by 221–201. ?
Wikipedia
Only a small minority of Republicans supported this extension (28 Republicans yea). ?
Wikipedia
Massie opposed these types of debt ceiling extensions around this period — for example, he voted “no” on the Full Faith and Credit Act in 2013 because he viewed it as a debt limit increase. ?
massie.house.gov
Bottom line:
?? Massie voted against clean debt ceiling extensions in the 2013–2014 period. ?
massie.house.gov
?? Exception — 2023 Debt Ceiling Under Biden (Fiscal Responsibility Act)
In 2023, during a debt ceiling fight under President Joe Biden, Massie did vote in favor of proceeding with the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 (the bipartisan debt ceiling suspension) at key procedural stages, including supporting the rules that advanced the bill and ultimately voting yes on the measure. ?
Spokesman-Review +1
This was widely noted as the first time Massie had ever voted to raise or suspend the debt ceiling in his congressional career, and he personally described it as a pragmatic vote to avoid a default while securing some procedural changes. ?
Spokesman-Review
?? Summary of Massie’s Votes on Debt Ceiling Increases
Period / Measure
How Massie Voted
2011 Budget Control Act (debt limit increase)
Opposed / No
2013–2014 Temporary Debt Limit Extension (clean increase)
Opposed / No
2023 Fiscal Responsibility Act (debt ceiling suspension)
Supported / Yes (first such vote)
So in all the major Obama-era debt ceiling increases (2011 and 2014), Massie voted against the increases. His only recorded vote in favor of raising or suspending the debt ceiling in his congressional tenure occurred later, in 2023, under a different president, when he supported a negotiated bipartisan deal. ?

The bill passed the House with strong bipartisan support, 314 to 117.
A majority of both parties voted for the legislation:
165 Democrats voted in favor.
149 Republicans voted in favor.

This is what makes the Massie haters so dishonest. Again, knock yourself out in hating Massie for other reasons, but don't lie about whether or not Massie is a fiscal conservative....or at least accuse the other 148 as "not being Republicans" because of that one vote.

The myth that somehow all of Obama and Bidens spending was due to Massie voting for them is testimate to the power of cult herd thinking.
