I don’t understand your line of reasoning? Fight back against the establishment by supporting someone besides Trump?
What person running for president is a bigger target by the establishment than Trump?

Don't hold your breath waiting for the TDS folks to answer you on this...that is until their wives tell them who to vote for!

What does this mean? It is my responsibility to blindly and openly support the Republican nominee without discussion or criticism because he is the nominee?

frick that line of thinking. We should be actively engaged in discussion and debate both about the politicians and policies we are fighting against and the ones we are fighting for.

That’s not at all what I have observed. People that criticize Trump have typically already picked someone else. It’s not just criticism of Trump, it typically comes with a personal attack. In that sense, it isn’t criticism, it’s manipulation.

If you should be able to criticize him, you should be able to defend him. But defending him in any capacity comes with the label of being in a cult, or worse. Again, that’s manipulation.

This is very easy to answer. Perhaps the simplest question ever. You can support Trump or you can support Biden

Asinine, ignorant, and dangerous take.

I'll vote for the most conservative candidate. I can promise you that will not be Donny.

Hes not a conservative. Hes a Rorschach test candidate.

I hardly think anyone in this thread, at least what I’ve read so far, is trying to say Biden’s Presidency is better than Trump’s.

The thing is why the frick are we about to have a Presidential runoff between two 80 year olds when there are other legit options available, at least on the GOP side?

No. This is simply not true.

Plenty of people can defend Trump without sounding cult-like or worse.

You can go review the religious-based threads from last night to see some examples of both. Diamongdog (sp?) in particular displayed a way to support Trump publicly while clearly rejecting the cult and insane aspects of MAGA.

You are wrong. Most people I know are tired of Trump's comments and wish he would act "more Presidential." You are completely off the mark about his energy though. However, those same people are all still voting for him because they know he will get the job done better than any of the alternatives. Maybe he is a jerk, but he is the jerk we need at this time.

So the discussion went from are you tired of stupid comments to defending them is cult.

Nice stretch.

Nah, he doesnt even act like a grown up, much less presidential.

I dont give a shite about presidential. I do care about policy and how its conveyed to the public.

We have very little in common as far as political strategy is concerned, SFP, I know you know that, but I appreciate your willingness to discuss issues.

Well you started your analysis off with a lie.

Nope, as of today, this is the honest truth. Each party has one leading (by a mile) candidate. It is a binary choice. Unless Joe dies or Trump is taken off the ballot, your actions or inactions will contribute to either Trump or Biden winning in 2024.

This is a really hard lesson for pseudo-intellectuals like yourself to learn. It's okay. We will keep making fun of you until you learn.

I'm just telling you. These discussions are how you get labeled an outsider. Roger's now in the box, too.

That's how a person like me who wants less government gets labeled a Progressive/Leftist

You're on the same path for trying to discuss anything except pure loyalty (the point of your OP).

The simple fact that there are more than 2 parties?

Yeah, thrilling and complicated facts, here.

My personal policy positions have literally not changed since probably 2010 or so.

I can't help that "Republicans" now want big government b/c they are scared and think they need it to thwart their perceived out group.

I also won't be quiet about pointing out that fact.

I've never supported or defended radical Christian/Evangelical bullshite. I've always made it clear they are the mob that scares me the most.

And, while I love conspiracy theories as entertainment, my refusal to make them my reality has remained.

I answered that later in the post but clearly I got two whoppers with my “hook”. You and Shrubber. The two replies I got speak volumes to the veracity of my post.
