Why is this a big deal? Just saw on Hannity he said some dem candidates were openly rebuking the statement.

Isn't it common knowledge the democrats want to end all fossil fuel related anything permanently? Are there still people who don't know this? Seems like this has been the MO of the democrat party for the last 2 decades. Seems strange there are people "aghast" at this statement.

Yes, democrats have made it clear they want to kill the coal, oil, and gas industry. Nuclear too.

They also want to ban beef cattle.

Dems like to appear more moderate when elections roll around.

Dems have to lie to get elected.

You don't do it this year. Probably ought to win an election before you come true.

He's said he'd NOT eliminate fracking, but then says he will. Joe is a horrible messenger on the topic, because he doesn't use words like ' gradual ' or 'phase out '. Joe just wants to appeal to the green crowd, the AOC types, so he talks tough to some of them, claiming he's all about getting us off oil, but he's scared to say it to folks in Pennsylvania, Texas, and other key states which make $$$ from fossil fuels.

Joe's an idiot.

But they do not admit it publicly, do not want to lose the number of voters who depend on that industry. Joe fricked up last night.

And yet Big Oil still gives money to the Democrat party. I don't understand that.

That's not shocking per se, it's just a bit shocking when/where he said it and further the directness and lack of any ambiguity in how he said it.

Nah, they talk about it as part of their bullshite utopia where everyone gets along with no money or private property.

Nobody thought Joe would be stupid enough to actually threaten to try it!

DC is all about influence peddling. Deep State makes you pay to play. Gotta grease the palms.

Oil and Gas companies are the large majors and the smaller independents. They are at odds most of the time. The majors are international and have and will move on to overseas developments if the US market is not open. Independents are not able to do this and are tied to the domestic business. Over the last 50 or so years, independents made most of the discoveries while the majors went to Africa, the Middle East and other areas.
