That doesn't make it any less of a chicken shite move for the voters that have to make the choice here, and that's why he's being called out for it.

You can have your personal opinion, but the fact is it didn't hurt him. He got away with it the first time with no impact to the polls. He doesn't need to debate and it won't impact his chances.

Because he should want your vote.

He's not. You will get your debate once the field narrows down. It's no need in going on TV and getting torn down by the opponents using the democratic script. You are not very smart. You just have a grind with him because you listened to the MSM news that has tried to tear him down since 2015. They have you hooked like a fish.

Ah yes...that's the spirit! Alienate a guy that's already voted for Trump before when he "lost." You guys are doing wonderfully...

For all of our lives, there has been.

FWIW, for most of the history of America, there weren't anti-biotics either.

No reason I guess.

I mean, I thought he was a politician seeking my vote. One he'd previously earned in the past...but since you seem to think he no longer wants or needs it, then I guess the question isn't so much WILL I vote for him, but will I vote for him if he clearly doesn't even want me to?

Horns of a dilemma...

Because he has tiny hands and does not know what to do with them when he talks

No, not all that much. But there are lots of guys capable of being the life of the party. I'd prefer to be the guy you call when shite gets bad and you need actual help with things.

Are you suggesting Trump will debate if/when the field narrows to three (Trump plus the top 2 others?)

If so, I think this is even less likely.

This is the kind of weak response one gives when they know the topic has significant merit

I didn't judge the merit of the topic. I'm judging your ability to comprehend logic. It's awful.

Trump hides from the debates because there are real questions that Trump needs to answer that he won’t be able to that will pass muster.

There is ZERO need to do anything to get the nomination. That's the whole point flying over your head.
What the hell constitutes 'passing muster'? If he has a pulse at the convention he's got the nomination. If he is dead, then the debate wouldn't have prevented it.

So, you're saying that lots of republican voters will say 'I was gonna vote Trump but he refused to debate so I'm voting for DeSantis?'
Well, if that's true then DeSantis will be ahead of Trump in the polls after the debates are held and the negative reaction takes place. Is that what you think is gonna happen?

And when he gets to the General and has to answer questions that he has awful answers to, we will all be worse off for his lack of participation in primary debates.

If he is going to fall apart in a debate because he stands to suffer from giving answers to questions posed by that editorial, it should happen in the primaries so a healthy conversation can happen amongst Republicans.

This is a really good point. However, Trump is trying to win. Which is why he doesn’t need to participate in primary debates.

There are votes to be earned. No one is obligated to vote for him if he wins the nomination. So it would seem there is plenty to gain in "doing something".

It’s so wild so see the MAGA crowd approve of not debating after bitching that the dems didn’t in midterms.

MAGA moving left.

This is the issue with Trump apostles, they don’t want him to debate because they know he won’t be able to answer questions.

I’ll give you an example - make a go at actually answering the questions posed by the OP on behalf of Trump.

I thought the republicans were supposed to start playing by the dems rules so they have a chance to win?

We agree on this, but we all wind up worse off with him not willing to debate ideas.
