Why in the Hell is Disney/ABC Giving Jimmy Kimmel One More Season Before He's Done?

That makes no sense whatsoever. It's not like he has a 30-minute comedy show where a ton of scripts have already been written. Kimmel is losing a ton of money for his corporate media overlords, but I think they're scared to just fire him and move on. It must seem really strange to be so afraid of your audience that you have to phase him out instead. They should just eat the final year of his contract, because they would save money in the long run.

CBS did the same thing with Colbert. Crazy.

The gays are a protected class. Hard to fire without a lawsuit.

Kimmel would be better off if he was gay. His Leftard wife is a battle axe on steroids.

I never liked Kimmel, even on The Man Show. I always thought Carolla was the funny one

Because they know Republicans are going to dominate the midterms and need him in there to spread their propaganda before the FCC shuts then down

The propaganda has to go out.

If Kimmel isn’t going to spout it, they have to line up some other mouthpiece.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure that I saw where Comedy Central is bringing back John Stewart YET AGAIN. Very interesting timing, to say the least.

I just wish they would call people like Stewart, Kimmel, and Colbert what they really are. WHORES.

There is nothing guaranteed that he's done after 2027. The network denied all that was reported about this being his last season.

Probably because his contract runs through next May and if they cancelled the show now, they’d still be paying him anyway.

I can't imagine getting my blood pressure up over a late night show I never watch. Outrage is a compulsion.

My blood pressure isn't elevated, bro. But, it simply doesn’t make sense to keep a liability like Kimmel around who is losing them 10's of millions of dollars.

This seems to be a thing with Disney.
Year after year they threaten to fire Kathleen Kennedy. They've been doing so for so long I have lost track of how many years it's been.

Late night shows are cooked, but the MSM are all on board.

Our family watches the local news every night. When Kimmel comes on, it's a rush to the remote - my wife, who is a counselor who works with young kids, and has a really good handle on addressing mental development, says "turn that shite off."

If you know your entire family is going to melt about a scheduled show, why not just keep the remote close at hand? Or…hear me out…not melt over what’s on tv
