Why Germany is so successful vs China Virus

First, all of their testing was developed and performed by commercial labs, unlike the early days here where an Obama change made CDC the sole developer and provider. Thankfully Trump changed it back to pre Obama.
Second, patient and doctor have free reign in treatment protocol, without government interference. The government makes recommendations but doesn't regulate.
Lookie here, HCQ is recommended...

There is a special place in hell (8th & 9th levels per Dante) for the news media.

It’s not an election year in Deutschland?

Oh you really think that’s the reason?
Not the nationwide lock down and strict mask enforcement and currently still the mandatory contact tracing?
Currently the government is making testing mandatory when you come back from high risk areas. You people were bitching when you couldn’t go to Florida.

Germany’s success has been basically because of BIG government.

Maybe Germany just hasn't got hit yet with infections?
2 months ago Texas and Florida were sitting pretty.
It's gonna roll through everywhere.

Imagine that, the Germans are better than us at something.

Because their people didn't vote an outsider in to fix their country.

Look into their death count. They didn't attribute covid as the cause of death for people who already had one foot in the ground.

Ben Shapiro cited studies looking at cell phone data comparing and contrasting the lockdowns of Germany and the United States. There wasn't a noticeable difference between the two. Also...while Germany has mandated masks, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have not. The secret to Germany's success hasn't been big government, it's been the fact that the virus wasn't nearly as prevalent there as it was in the United States.

Maybe also because their media isn’t full of crap by blowing everything out of proportion and letting the false positives, double positives and inaccurately reported deaths go unnoticed like ours is.

He didn't do the study. He merely linked to people who did studies using Apple's own data as a resource.

Ain’t the rest of Europe doing this shite too, but they aren’t having the same success...
Also, I’d venture to say that Germany probably has a younger population compared to places like France or Spain or Italy- lots of Europeans retire south like snowbirds here.

Fair enough. Can you link? I’d like to read it.

They have an aging native population. They have a huge immigrant population too. From Turkey, West Africa, Eastern Europe.

Because they don’t bathe, therefore it’s easier to Social Distance

Germans as a whole are in a lot better health than American as far as weight and diabetes go, but they also likely have more smokers.
Their nursing homes were hit hard in the beginning to be fair.
I’d say a combination of being skinnier, less media attention overall, and not attributing every relatable death to Covid is likely a majority of their difference. Germany has been very strict on only listed those that died of Covid as Covid deaths.
