NYC broke up some of its LIH buildings and moved them around the city. Rather than having one giant area of LIH, they have 1-2 buildings here or there.
Chicago, on the other hand, mostly puts their poorer / LIH residents on the southside / south-west.

They do sometimes and it has the same results as desegregation busing

Yea, I am considering it. However, they are only building the apartment if they get approved for a "low income housing credit" and there are many other projects on the docket and there are limited funds.
We have a lot of good points in our favor but nothing is certain.
If they do not get approved, one of the business owners will attempt to buy the land. If that happens we will be good for a while. The uncertainty sucks though.
I am getting comps from my real estate agent this week to see. I am considering getting out though.
I really like my house and neighborhood so I am frustrated that I am being forced out against my will.

We tried that in Delaware....it stayed nice for about 3 years, now it’s a ghetto and unsafe.

The projects are designed to keep those people in mass in a specific area to prevent them from getting out of control and to keep them from succeeding. The housing projects are federal incubators that breed democrats and that is by design. Democrats do not want black people to do well they want them to remain reliant on the government and pulling that lever for democrats.

Then the area would not be nice.
