I love how he turns to his press secretary and says, do you think we have what we need? Ok, this is done. If that does not signal setup to CBS I am not sure what would. The pieces I saw was that he was very calm and just letting her go nuts.

Imagine a member of the press that gets the opportunity to interview a siting POTUS actually has some respect and conducts a proper interview, instead of constantly attacking the office and the man.

Definitely part of his strategy.

He's a troll (and I mean that in a good way), but a smart one. He knows how to push people's buttons and get the result he wants. Call it manipulative, but many successful businessmen are that very thing.

What he has done takes how he operates in a face to face/1:1 setting and found a way to do it en masse, to people, politicians, and media.

Thankfully, most of his don't care if part of this is self-serving, he clearly puts Americans at least second. If not 1b to his 1a. And I'm fine with that.

It's crazy smart. I'm constantly stunned by how his gaffes are never really "gaffes," they barely resonate.

I also don't understand how the left still doesn't understand it. Incredible. They keep doing the same thing, giving the same reaction, and expect different results. I'd love a real impartial research project on the "Trump years" when all is said and done.

I've got no problem with him doing them but the timing was dumb. Either do it six months before Election Day or a week after. There was no up side to doing it two weeks before the election. That was the political version of playing your starting quarterback in week 17 when you have already clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs.

I'd say he does this because he has to show everyone how biased the media is. The more he does these pieces, the more material he has.

He doesn't really answer the questions very well. For example, he kept repeating Covid cases are going up because of increased testing. He should have added, increases in cases doesn't necessarily correlate with increased hospitalization; or, increases in cases where those testing positive become critically ill.
