Heck, even if they go with Idris Elba, he's well fit for the role from a character standpoint and is English, so it wouldn't be a let's make him black for the sake of it kind of thing.
Yeah, it would be...because James Bond isn't black. Part of casting for Bond, if you're interested in the canon, is starting from a framework that the actor is not black. He also doesn't have red hair, he's not short or bald or fat. He doesn't have one arm, or is missing an eye.
None of this is a shot at Idris Elba who is fantastic and whose work in Luther was fantastic and SHOULD HAVE landed him the role of Alex Cross in the adaptations of James Patterson's novels. He's just not James Bond, and more than he should play Wonder Woman.

I think we can all look back and think white washing movies and TV like that was shitty. But short of a time machine, there's no way to go back and fix that.
The last big example I can think of with this was when Christian Bale played Moses about ten years ago. That was poor casting.

Last I heard, that was gonna be Henry Cavill.

The last movie ended with a black female “007” being briefed by M.

Cultural appropriation.

I wouldn't count Spiderman in this. Miles Morales was a comic book character first.

I can't explain that but Henry Cavill is in serious consideration for the next Bond. It will be another white man.

Theu cannot make their own characters people find interesting so they hijack others. Storyline ate dominated by ideology. We need to accept that people just don't identify with each inherent that way. Just make a damn good story and we will be fine with it. Who didn't watch alien and aliens and not think Ripley was a good character?

And Russel Crowe played Noah, but that wasn't really taking a BIPOC actors spot in any real sense, so no one cared.
An interesting one was The Ancient One from Dr. Strange.
In the comics, he's obviously written and drawn as what would now be seen as an Asian stereotype:
And in the movie they turned him into the whitest woman alive:
so...they race and gender swap this traditionally Asian character, but largely do so because they are afraid of being accurate to the source materials out of fear of being called racist. It's like Woke Inception.

Derek Bell and by extension his student Krenshaw are really the modern architects of our current hellscape. You can trace philosophical roots all the way back to at least Hegel but Krenshaw is the one who introduced the idea of intersectionality which is basically the driving force behind how they’ve managed to consolidate and power grab.

She was 007 the whole movie. The next Bond will not be in the Daniel Craig-universe, so what happens in the end of his movies has no effect on the next Bond.

Does it really matter? I laugh because it is the racists that push this crap. As if to say,"I'm not racist because I pushed for the re-casting of Annie, Cheaper by the Dozen, etc." In fact, you are more racist by doing so, because they believe they justify it because of acts. Like country club white kids going to black lives matter marches.I laugh at these pansies. I don't have to prove anything to anyone. I love people. Assholes are gonna be assholes. They comes in all shapes in sizes. The constant baiting between white and black is tired at this point.

They're trying to give blacks some self-esteem so they quit looting, robbing, raping, and killing.

liberals are idiots who think they're geniuses.

I didn’t know about that one
It’s so hard to woke-cast. So many identity boxes to check. Asians and Hispanics in American media definitely seem underrepresented due to the over representation of blacks and alphabet people.

hy stick black people in a Thor movie on Asgard when Asgard is clearly Norse inspired lore, when you can easily find some really cool and yet unexplored African myth that would make a great story and vehicle for predominantly black actors if that's what you want?
I would kill to watch a movie or show about West African myth or a show about the Mali Empire. There's a lot of material there but Hollywood ignores it.

It’s kind of like an inverse Kafka trap if you think about it that way. If they made those movies they’d be lambasted as racists and cultural appropriation.

The same people to like to crow that white people have no culture are dead set on turning white cultural icons into brown people.
