Because the Communist ideology is directly opposite of the American way of life.
At least what it once was, now we’ve got a shitload of people that want Communism wrapped in Socialism for this country. They need to be dealt with.
Communism killed over a hundred million people in the 20th Century, gulags, starvation of Ukraine, Stalin, fomenting Communist revolution in numerous countries, no liberty in the Communist way of life, etc. etc.
Russia fricking sucks and we should always be wary of their treachery especially with Mr. KGB Colonel at the helm of the country.

Because they emerged after WW2 as the competing world power and opposite political idealogy of ours. They sought to expand the influence of communism while we sought to expand capitalism and it led to a massive arms race rivalry in a battle to be top dog.
