The scene where they are allowed access to a citizen's home is particularly telling. Every picture in the families home is of the Great Leader - they have zero pictures of their own family. You ask them which one is their favorite - they say "all of them".

The film crew gained access by tagging along with an eye surgeon doing humanitarian work. In the end the village people come to get their bandages off, and they all thank the Great Leader - not they eye surgeon - that they can see. One lady gets her bandages off and proclaims "Thank you Great Leader! I will work in the coal mines much harder now".

This has more to do with the penalty of not bowing down, than it does that they actually believe what they are saying.

Watch the frontline episode. Things are changing. Eyes are opening.

Thanks to the other responses, even the smart arse one's. Some of you fellas have a shite ton of self loathing going on.

What's sad is China and South Korea don't like taking their refugees, the North Koreans who escape get mistreated or killed or have to risk even more trying to get to America.

A tidbit. Today Spiderman Tuba made a comment about the Mongolians on another thread re: coalitions. FYI, the Mongolians had the largest contingent of golfers in the North Korean Open last year. 3. They did not win but I was impressed.

South Korea thanks you, Internet Dick Cheney, for the nuclear crater in the middle of Seoul and the 40% unemployment rate from the influx of half-starved, unskilled laborers. No, really, they do.

Is that their policy? If we attack them, they attack South Korea?

It appears to be. It's definitely their rhetoric.

I was just asking a question. South Korea is a great country and a great place. I don't want to hurt them. Why'd you call me Internet Dick Cheney?

Good question - they say things about destroying the US, have provocatively fired missiles all over hell and creation and they have American prisoners. They're bad peeps and we're letting them get away with it! goldennugget, what say you?!?!

1. no oil
2. big arse army (top 5 in the world)
3. powerful navy (2nd largest submarine fleet in the world)
4. powerful allies who threaten to back them (China, Russia, ect)
5.
6. They may have nukes.
7. They would destroy the productive nation of South Korea in the process.
8. There would be thousands of unnecessary American military casualties.

I was actually referring to the OP. This is the only forum I post on where the specific post you clicked "reply" to is called out but you have to manually quote as opposed to the other way around. Your post was just at the bottom of the page
