I can see that just for the power grab, but after decades of brutal treatment under the soviets, I can't imagine how they have a great feeling about left wing ideology.

Full Disclosure: I had to look up eschatological because I didn't know what the 5$ word meant.

As someone who has read a bit of Revelation and listen to others more learned in biblical prophecy..The western world is really not mentioned AT ALL in the end times. Many have taken that as a sign that the west has so little power/no influence , or it has been destroyed and is controlled by another world faction.

If that is possible I would not want to usher in the "end times"

If you are an evangelical Christian, Zionism should be viewed as an abomination. If you believe the Bible to be the literal word of God, only He, through his Messiah, can re-establish the nation of Israel as it exists in Scripture. The attempt by humans to re-establish a nation comprised of largely secular Jews and calling it Israel should be seen as prideful blasphemy.
