Assuming you're of European descent
Your ancestors (Palestinians) took this land. Imagine that all of the Native Americans your ancestors conquered it from from displaced to other continents for 100s of years.
Now imagine a foreign power winning a war that didn't involve you and deciding that they're going to give all the Native Americans their land back and that you'd become a 2nd class citizen overnight, in the only 'Murica you've ever known.
