Why didn't Obama tell us Russia was trying to influence the 2016 presidential election?

I think it was because he was absolutely certain Hillary was going to win the 2016 presidential election and if he had announced before the election that Russia was trying to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election and Hillary won then it would appear that Russia helped Hillary win the presidency.

I completely agree. Waiting till your side loses to bitch about a problem is a very cowardly thing to do. If it was enough to complain about after losing then it was big enough to bring to light before.

You and I vehemently disagree with each other on many issues but I know you honestly agree with me on this.

I think a lot of the Russian effort was pushing for Hillary and he didn’t want to stop that.

I can't say that is correct but I'm certain Russia also thought Hillary was going to win the presidency.

However, I still can't get an answer to my question.

If Russia wanted Trump to win the presidency then why did Russia's propaganda arm, RT only have pro-Hillary propaganda on RT?

because everything found so far, just proves they were trying to help hillary get elected, not trump.

hillary was already on putin's payroll so why the hell would he ever want trump to win

That's not true.

Russia put out both anti-Trump and anti-Hillary propaganda in their effort to stir discord among Americans and the DNC/Hillary campaign helped them do it.

Russia didn’t put out anti-Trump propaganda until after the election. Before then Russia was doing everything they could to support Trump over Hillary.

ETA: there was a bipartisan statement about Russian interference drafted but McConnell refused to sign onto it.

Apparently you didn't read the entire 37 page indictment against the 13 Russians because in those indictments the FBI asserted Russia did a lot of anti-Trump propaganda before the election and gave examples of what they did.

Obama said he told Putin to "cut it out" in September, 2016 but he was referring to Russian hacking not to Russia trying to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

Obama told us in December, 2016 that he made that statement to Putin.
