Okay if you think that narrative is bullshite here are some other things that I believe most conservative leaning people could agree on regarding cops.
Not allow officers to move to another police force after they are fired by the one they work at.
Body cameras should be required to be worn and turned on at all times.
Police departments across the country should be required by law to report to the federal database when they kill a suspect (right now it’s voluntary)
Increase requirements in order to become a police officer and increase their training in deescalation.
End or drastically reduce “proactive policing” officers should not be riding around punching in license plates of random cars looking for a reason to arrest someone. They shouldn’t be asking everyone they pull over in a bad neighborhood to search their car or illegally searching their car.
Treat drug addiction as a health crisis and not as a crime.
These are just some ideas. I’m not for completely doing away with the police but I am for limiting what they do. If someone is having a mental health crisis a dude showing up with gun isn’t making that situation any better.
