Sounds like your notion of maturity is bland, soulless conformity... sort of the way George W Bush just let the media walk all over him. Was that dignified, or was GW simply not mature and evolved enough to absorb those attacks and flip the script on the press the way Trump has?

I'd argue that a better definition of maturity considers not how staid one is, but to the ability to more genuinely express a wider array of responses to different circumstances-- whether that means being serious, silly, vulnerable, angry, etc. And even some of Trump's critics (the more honest ones anyway) grudgingly cede that he is pretty savvy and sophisticated in his ability to navigate press, politics, and public perception. He's not perfect, but he's not immature either.

As for humor, given that Marxist counterculture explicitly pushed a politically correct agenda that attacked free speech and humor while trying to normalize their own mean-spirited derision, the current shift towards celebrating simple quips and sophomoric jokes is the counter to that counterculture. And it is effective. The right leans into the true essence of matters over appearance, giving their jokes more power to puncture Leftist bubbles. In contrast, the Left, which pushes appearance and relativity over Truth, can't meme.

Hopefully, the above gives you some clarity and you, yourself, can grow up a little, instead of making yourself miserable fretting that: he can't keep getting away with it!
