NYT in BR, daily paper or Sunday only?
USA Today I can get daily at any grocery in the south, it is like the McDonalds of news
So is USA Today
Who do you think sells more papers weekly in BR?
USA Today
NYT
If the NYT is getting 1% readership in BR (which I doubt), how are they a threatening "liberal media" if nobody is reading them as you have clearly said you do not?
I get there is liberal media on the east coast but in the south I find it hard to find "liberal media" at every street corner, as in fact I am arguing just the opposite exists.

ABC / CBS / NBC don't seem to far to either extreme and peddle to the game show and soap opera crowds so not much need to push to the far left or far right crowd

CNN seems to push both sides and without a war do we really need 24 / 7 news?
MSNBC seems to be the opposite of FOX but you tune in there to get the news you want
You may live in a dream world, but these outlets do nothing but pump out negative information about Trump. Its been that way since the election.
I say this as a person who didnt vote for him, and will nost likely not vote for him again.

All of them have an angle. You just have to look at it from their angle. Takes about 10-20 minutes for the passion to come through and they all start talking in circles
Fair enough and thanks for the thoughtful response. I would expect no less from a State fan.

Maybe that is it, I may not stay on them long enough to see the bias emerge. If they have not hit the main point in the first 5 min they lose me. One thing you could say about an old school sermon is they were short and to the point. Even Paul Harvey was smart enough to wrap it all up in 5 min or so. Maybe we need a Paul Harvey for this generation, any suggestions?

your premise is flawed, you are viewing this through a filter of what you consider left or right leaning bias and trying to apply it unilaterally.
Just your newspaper comments alone gets this thread an anchor, you are either trolling or woefully misguided.
Believe what you want to believe, but leave us out of it. You arent convincing anyone of anything pawpaw.

They have access to a rather impressive number of news sources.
Sounds like a winner

I often get unedited news footage such as full interviews that they did not include in their news segments.
Getting better

We scroll through headlines and pick stories that interest us, and are usually done within an hour.
Hot damn, this sounds like a winner! No more 24 / 7 / 365 droning from MSNBC/CNN/FOX/ etc!
How do I get it?
Do I need Roku on my TV?

Not the point. The point is, it DOES have a national presence that other papers DON'T have.
All of which is moot since print news is dying a slow death daily, anyway. People read these rags' websites. That's a GLOBAL circulation.

Just your Rachel Maddow comment alone
Are you replying to me as you had me in your reply?
I am unaware of mentioning Rachel Maddow in any of my posts on this thread. If I did, please link it. Thanks.

Simple question, in the south who is the liberal media? Is it some Cox Communications show?
All these pages and so far nobody has said what "liberal media" Titan is controlling the south.

Maybe this will help.
20 and 30 years ago was an Arbitron (sp?) person where about every 6 months they sent me a thing to fill out (like a week to a month log) of everything I watched. Most of my viewing habits outside of live sports and movies was PBS shows at night and classical music on the radio during the day.
I used to look at the reports for my area and my viewing and listening habits accounted for about 3% of the responses and "AM talk radio" was well over 50%. Clearly the advertisers were less concerned about my demographic than talk radio (probably because it riled people up more than calmed them down). Look, I get why Jerry Springer and the Kardasiahns get viewers, I just don't want to go down that path for mental stimulation.
To say that 1% market penetration = 99% market penetration seems insane
By that logic, Tulane is just as valuable to advertisers as LSU.

Maybe you can sneak in a nap before your daily snack of prunes.
Just in case nobody preps you for this...
As you get older, the demand to piss outweighs any ability to sleep for long periods
Prunes get the job done but so does much roughage. Get used to liking it now so when you get to this point you will thank me for not getting what feels like concrete up you back for two or three days. What the lord giveth old men in pissing ability he takes away in poopin ability.
FWIW, flax works well in middle age but too well in old age.
Here is hoping your kids and grandkids come to see you often when you get to this point. Lots of folks around me that just get to look at the wall all day with no visitors.

Not a board I frequent often and still figuring it out
At least the Roku post has been helpful.

Got anchored somehow and not sure how or why?

Why someone would blatantly lie when everyone knows damn well it is a lie like the OP just did is beyond me. Yet the progs do it on a daily basis. Unreal

If you can't see or hear the left leaning bias, it's usually a good sign, you are the bias

OP yearns daily for another Jimmy Carter.

I know, right?! CNN is legitimately unbiased and fair.
It's obvious that people just can't stand the conservatism of don lemon and fredo.
