This.

Even without the Internet. LOL

Educated in the Classics of Greek and Roman History and Philosophy, among other ancient civilizations.

It still amazes me how they laid the foundations for the Greatest Civilization ever in our known history.

Bill of Rights, Federalism and 12th Amendment Establishing the Electoral College.

Trump is both tough and an amazing salesman.

Neither is the same as "intelligent."

The entire national population was smaller than a top-10 US city today. The Declaration and the Constitution were written by the equivalent of the Houston City Counsel.

A couple of them were brilliant (Jefferson and Madison head-and-shoulders above the rest). The lot of them were certainly brave, but most of them were nothing special intellectually.

If we’re talking about intelligence relative to political ability, three immediately come to mind - Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton,

Can't disagree.Reagen and Clinton had great instincts and wisdom. Both were brilliant politicians.

While BHO was charismatic he surrounded himself with horrible people and his obvious partisanship alienated multitudes

LBJ as much as I hate him for expanding the size of the federal govt with his Great Society bullshite, dude was EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE at getting his way regardless of what side of the aisle his position lay, dude got his way as Senate Majority Leader from Texas in terms of successfully opposing civil rights legislation and filibustering and got his way as POTUS for Vietnam spending, Great Society and Civil Rights Act I mean hell the dude persuaded Arthur Goldberg to step down from SCOTUS after only 3 years so he could nominate and confirm his guy Abe Fortas to the Court, dude ruled like Frank Underwood

A smart liar can remember the tales he's told and not get tripped up afterwards. And most of DJT attorneys seem to tell him to his face that he's a walking disaster when it comes to keeping up with his.

I suppose if the Earth turns into a burning hell in 12 years one would have to include AOC in this discussion
