'Today, we allege Fay Beydoun sought and received a $20 million 'Michigan enhancement grant' from the state Legislature, operated a criminal enterprise to use those funds for personal expenses and her own enrichment, and lied repeatedly when reporting how she used those funds,' Nessel said.

This $20M is only a part of a larger political slush fund rolled into the Michigan Economic Development’s budget.
That’s a lot of money if you know the right palms to grease.
They didn’t even tried to hide it.
Beydoun was appointed to the board of the very entity the money was laundered through.
That’s brazen. There needs to be at least two more levels of middlemen to increase the degrees of separation.
How it usually works:
Beydoun gets appointed to the board, then funnels smaller amounts to friends, allies, and associates. Not this time. One big check for $20 Million was directed to Beydoun by the Governor.
