Whitefish, MT- WTF?

Why is it that a town with a population of 7,279 keeps popping up in stories I read which are not on the surface related to each other on any tangible way? The Puerto Rico power restoration issue, the Secretary of the Interior is from there, the proposal for the privatization of US intelligence seemed to include a company based in Whitefish. There was a case of a woman being “troll stormed” by Andrew Anglin through his white supremacist website. She lives in Whotefish and the whole thing started after the woman had a dispute with the mother of Richard Spencer, who also lives in Whitefish.
There’s just too much weird, notable stuff with larger impact happening in such a small town. Just seems really fishy to me.

I live pretty close by and don't let the size fool you. It's a resort town like Aspen or Vail and it's got tons of money and it's a playground for the influential power elite.
Immediately outside the Whitefish area are a great number of sovereign citizen types and some real militia loonies. Think Ruby Ridge. That was about 80 miles from Whitefish.

This helps me understand a little bit. Still, it seems like lots of things are happening in the area. I only noticed because the name stick with me after the PR power restoration deal.Since then I’ve seen it multiple times in a variety of stories. It just managed to capture my attention. I guess part of it may just be Blue Car Syndrome. I notice it because it’s in my awareness.

Do I have to? That thread scares me. Not because I believe all the conspiracy theories but because I see into the minds of people I may be interacting with every day and not know it.
