Over the years just such an experience - if survived - was usually the determinant for changing perspectives.
Except for our own Scoot here in Orleans - a well known pandering white liberal in media. It only seemed to have made him dig in even more.
His was basically the same experience as this woman, but it didn't take.
Maybe it requires a second time for some.

I knew you were being "satirical". I said that. My point is.. we are seeing this more and more, eventually there will be a response. How can there not be? We deserve this. It’s our fault for oppressing them. Bend the knee, suck it up, give them your stuff and take your beatings. Maybe it will be over someday. That’s essentially what we are being told and forced to do.

Correct. They are like Muslims when it comes to tribe mentality. Replace Muslims with blacks in the following statement and it is still true.
While it is true that only 10% of Muslims want to cut infidels' heads off, the real problem is that the other 90% are OK with it.

Any group beating of an individual needs to be classified as attempted murder. It's impossible to protect yourself against more than about 3 people no matter how good a fighter you are, and once your are subdued by a group you are completely defenseless to a deadly beating
