The President could have honored police. Put lights up at White House in honor of them.

Beer Summit - The President instantly hurt his credibility with white voters by saying Harvard police acted stupidly for arresting black professor.

Travon Martin - The President could have stayed neutral and spoke more thoughtfully to country on race.

Ferguson - Justice Department suppressed video of Brown robbing the store in order to skew perception of shooting. Obama never fussed or pleaded or spent political capital calling out those folks burning down black businesses.

Obama could have presented a cop & citizen videos on how to obey or handle cops. The video would remind cops on how to handle citizens. Play this video on major news channels for a month or so? There was so much more he could have done being first black president but he chose to play for his team.

I earnestly ask, as a white man, other than demographic shifts in the US which are as much about white folks not reproducing as immigration and lazy lay abouts, what concerns do white men have that we have not wrought on ourselves? There is not an institution of importance in the nation that we do not have total control of. We make more money, we find things like credit and escaping minor scrapes with the law much easier than minorities do. Almost everyone in government looks like we do. The same is true of popular culture (tv, movie). What, other than the fact that we aren't the lords and masters we once were, is it exactly that these fricks are on about?

The fact that middle class white men have aligned themselves with the aristocracy for centuries, and most importantly in the last couple of hundred years in this country, so we wouldn't be "them" (whatever minority you choose) instead of realizing that ALL people, regardless of race or religion, have more in common with people in their own ECONOMIC demographic than differences in their race, is where the angst comes from. After the Second World War the Aristocracy of the world saw technological advances that allowed them to use yellow and brown people as their labor AND convinced their serfs to perpetuate that exploitation to the demise of the serf is the root cause. White men now find themselves less pretty to the Aristocracy.....and many of us react like jilted lovers.....but some if us, who are enlightened, knew all along that the Aristocracy wasn't concerned with anything about us other than our serving as a buffer between them and poor people....we could be relied upon to do the bidding of our lords and keep the masses in their place but technology has rendered us unnecessary in that role and we find ourselves faced with the hard reality that we aren't special and exceptional as we find ourselves tossed together with all races and sexes and religions.

It isn't just this board. People from both sides are basically telling others who want nothing to do with this garbage that they are worthless and tacitly support the opposing side by not doing anything.

You can't just keep your head down and live your own life anymore according to these extremists. In their view, you have to pick a side, and that side can't be the middle.
