To be sure, LNG is expensive and consumers and businesses are understandably concerned about skyrocketing energy costs. But this is a separate question from whether there is enough gas for Europe to fully replace Russian supply.

It's FINE guys! We've got plenty of gas and no one is going to run out.

You will pay out the arse for it of course, but that is a separate issue.

So the only losers from this gas blackmail are Putin and his enablers.

Attention everyone paying multiple times more for energy than you were last year - Putin and his enablers are the only losers here!

The cut off of natural gas from them by Europe, and the ensuing removal of that natural gas from worldwide supply(while they continue to sell every drop of oil they can produce) is what is costing all of us billions.

The reaction to the action is punishing Europe and threatens the global financial system.

This is the start of WW1 all over again. Everybody has to look like a tough guy. Screw the peasants.

So it's not the illegal, unprovoked invasion? It's the response

This is all on Russia, bubba. But-for the invasion, the transaction costs and petro price wouldn't be so jacked up.

That's why the West is so invested in this conflict. These sorts of irrational disruptions have to be dealt with to dissuade other bad actors in the future.

As I've been arguing on here for some time. Russia's invasion is costing the world a LOT more than what little we've sent Ukraine in aid.

This is exactly what I mean when I say Russia's invasion is costing the world hundreds of billions of dollars.

The world isn't sending any money to Ukraine.

Politicians who will eventually have their hand out for kickbacks are sending money to Ukraine.

Doesn't look like it.

Now, Russia is in trouble if it has nobody to sell to. But, somebody on here said it is easily redirected. I have no idea if that's true.

Un-paywalled.

You've really got to read this because this guy is not at all biased.

The energy crunch should be no threat to unified support for Ukraine, let alone Europeans’ comfort this winter, despite Putin’s machinations.

Putin, by contrast, will be losing what we conservatively estimate to be $100bn from lost gas sales annually.

And waits until the West further dislocates themselves from fossil fuels while his reserves grow in value. The horror

I don't think the quoted language shows bias. Those are the variables in conflict (as discussed on this board constantly).

War is the failure of diplomacy. Russia warned NATO. NATO and Ukraine ignored the warning. There was shite for diplomacy on either side. So we have war. No NATO expansion = No war. PERIOD! So no, it's not all on Russia.

how long have you been in the tank for the criminals known as Khazarians?

Russia is abiding by well known 'great-power' convention

so the question may actually be how log have you been in the tank for obama-kerry-biden-nuland and their treacherous adventuring in the former Khazar-empire with a VERY problematic CIA?

It was the Khazarians who slaughtered nearly 70 million Russians

This is not all on Russia and you damn well know it

Zlelensky and Biden in November of 2021 had a press conference and Biden talked about them eventually joining NATO. About 120 days later we have is a land war in Europe. Was this another Biden gaffe? Probably. But at the end of the day; a guy who has been telling us for a couple decades not to do it decided to act.

Kind of like Kennedy acted when nukes started popping up in Cuba. Let’s just ignore the fact that NATO had just prior placed our nukes in Turkey? Seems like Kennedy was showing his inner Putin there

The world is defined by shades of grey. You seem to have a very juvenile perspective that complicated issues should be seen in black and white.

It really is perplexing how triggered people are about anything that could be bad news for Russia
