I think he was killed on Tora Bora but never disclosed so they could keep spending money and buying more stuff from the MIC.
And I am not a war dove. I fully approve of spending money on the military, its really the ONLY thing the federal government should be paying for. What I have a problem with is that if we did kill OBL on Tora Bora we would not have the need to continue to keep fighting and spending. MIC would lose billions and our insider trading senators and congressmen wouldnt be able to buy\short stocks that made them immensely wealthy.
