George Washington...he had wooden teeth

Thomas Jefferson is one of greatest founding members but he was a terrible business man. Died pretty much broke because he lost all the wealth he had inherited to bad investments.

Fixed...but I get what you are saying

It's Tom J and I don't think it's close. He was basically a true Libertarian who wanted to keep the nation an agragian paradise and the big banks and big wars on the other side of nowhere.... Far far away from. The US of A.

George Washington, and it isn’t close. General Washington kept the statements and speeches to a minimum, at least until long after he stacked English bodies like cordwood.

Patrick Hentry always make me think of Porky Pig.
Remember the Warner Brother cartoon when Porky fell asleep trying to memorize the pledge of allegiance?
He had a patriotic dream where Uncle Sam taught him history, and he saw a bunch of the founding fathers. Patrick Henry was terrifying in that cartoon. He looked pretty based.

I think very highly of Jefferson and agree with Kennedy's assessment at a state dinner where the brightest minds of the day were gathered. Kennedy is quoted as saying: "Never in the history of our great nation have we seen seated at the table of the White House such a grand gathering of intellect - with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."
However, Jefferson overstepped his constitutional authority as president when he made the Louisiana Purchase, bypassing congress in the acquisition. Constitutionally, it is the House of Representatives who propose any spending and then congress as a whole is required to approve spending propositions. That one thing puts a black mark on his presidency despite how well it turned out for our nation by essentially doubling the size of the country overnight.

James Madison by far
ETA: I see people choosing Jefferson for perceived libertarian tendencies, but if you want the OG founding father libertarian, pick George Mason.

Thomas Paine
Paine was a proto-Marxist, and an absolutely shite excuse for a man. America wasn't radical enough for him so he ran off to join the French Revolutionary terror. When Washington died, he published a shameful screed against him. He was generally hated, and then forgotten until Lincoln dug him up in the search for propaganda during the Civil War.

James Madison. He believed the country is more important than personal beliefs. He tried to take politics out of the equation when he wrote the Bill of Rights.
Like George Washington and John Adams he was a Federalist. During the anti-federalist movement led by Thomas Jefferson he wrote the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights heavily favored the Anti-Federalist party. He thought it was more important to keep the country together than to get what he wanted and what he believed was the right path.

Madison was not a Federalist!! He helped TJ form the Dem-Republican Party (Anti-Federalist)
Hamilton and Adams were the leaders of the Federalists.
