The plane was hijacked.

Demolition Man

Exactly what I came to post.

A combination of Demolition Man, but preceded by the politics in V for Vendetta but without V succeeding in the end.

Idk when it was published but Fahrenheit 451 comes to mind.

Idiocracy hands down!

It'll be the technology & media of 451 with the cultural texture of Idiocracy.

Bradbury was brilliant and Fahrenheit 451 is damn near prophetic.

Also, there'll be, there already is plenty of Huxley's Brave New World.

George Orwell, Bradbury and Huxley were/are a triune wise men and prophets of our current times.

BTTF 2- the WH is the Biden/Biff Pleasure Palace while the city around him burns and BLM mobs attack white guys at home.

It isn’t 90s but Idiocracy comes to mind.

Not happy that I can’t go get a great burger at Buttfricker’s though.

I think the time is right for a good Cinematic adaptation of "Harrison Bergeron".

Anyone catch the 2009 reboot where the aliens were offering "blue energy," "free, universal healthcare," and the queen was "blissing" everyone? One of the very few network TV series with dark overtones for liberals.

I actually enjoyed the reboot. One of those shows that wasn't right for prime-time network TV, though.

A few years later than the parameters but super valid.

Emotion and opinions become illegal, the government burns art and executes anyone found in possession of it.

"I spread my dreams at your feet, so tread lightly, because you tread on my dreams"

They try to make it look more like a fascist thing, but in reality it is what we see left wingers actually doing and advocating for.
