I can't stand the dude, but there is a huge population out there he could maybe comfort, or maybe try to bring the country together.

Not at all as long he wasn't being partisan. He could certainly help calm the fears of literally half the population if he chose to. A half of the population most likely to start acting up if this crisis continues for months on end.

I was in Jr. High/High School through most W’s years as POTUS and wasn’t paying very much attention to things that weren’t 9/11 and Operation Enduring Freedom related, but still can’t believe I missed him saying all that.
