Hell why not. Gays can get married. How long will it be before someone marries a dog or a chicken.

I would imagine sometime after dogs and chickens gain the capacity to contract. So, never?

I'm expecting someone to tell me soon that this country will allow people to own other people as slaves and keep women from voting.
Couldn't imagine us allowing stuff like that.

speciesist!
The only reason they don't have that capacity is because humans control the court system to keep other animals (and plants) down!
There's no difference between sticking your dick in a man's arse and sticking it in a dog.

As the old, white Republican religitards die off it will be easier and easier to get the more progressive social issues passed. Legalize drugs and treat addiction as a medical problem with preventative policies in place instead of pouring money down the "War on Drugs" rathole. Less military spending and more infrastructure/social spending to benefit society instead of corrupt war profiteers. Smarter decisions will be made.

Hopefully.
I think it is weird how hard we persecute polygamists.

We shouldn't persecute them. We should make sure they don't draw extra tax or social benefits. I think being married should do absolutely nothing to you in they eyes of the government.

Marriage is an outdated concept and institution just like religion. If it wasn't, 50% of marriages wouldn't end in divorce. And a certain percentage of those who don't stay married are miserable and just stay together for social or economic purposes, not because they are truly committed. People do it because of social pressure to a large extent. Studies show that couples living together but not legally bound have just as successful of a track record. Long term marriage really works for a segment of the population but society needs to quit looking at it as the end all of social organization.

I say unleash the hounds and let the logical consequences of Leftist policies impact our society.
Only in this manner will the Hard Lesson be learned by the US electorate.
