A lot of the California "refugees" are conservatives.

One of the problems though is they get to Texas and see idiots like Dan Patrick in charge.

This has been happening for over 20 years. The state won't turn blue because there are only two counties that currently vote blue, Latah and Blaine. Ada and Boise counties haven't turned Blue yet and that is where the majority of the population growth has occurred. Idaho is a much different situation than Texas because the voters aren't turning the urban counties in Idaho blue.

The real issue with your numbers is the fact of the exit from the Dem party to GOP in the 80s and 90s.

Things like that matter a hell of of alot.
