I’m a staunch conservative with a libertarian lean. But I can tell if they tried to draft my two boys to go to Syria for some bullshite political war I’d move to Canada.

I don’t. I would prefer that we don’t have wars with mass bloodshed. As much as a response may be needed, war is never something I would wish for.

If we had a draft, the War on Terror would be over within 6 months. You think the average American wants to die in a third-world desert to spread democracy to a group of people who hate his guts because their country is being invaded by the United States? The protests would be massive and any politician who supported said war would be voted out of office.

I'm in my late thirties and a businessman. The country needs me here to keep the economy going and to keep the young women safe while our boys are off fighting.
They could have drafted me at anytime during the Bush years and I would have went, I didn't whine about a possible draft when I was young.
