As someone not far removed from my 20-somethings (I turned 30 over the summer), I believe it's not that the GOP has no idea how to appeal to the age group, it's that the age group by and large is more enamored with government programs, specifically those that reward by taking from those who've earned and redistributing to those who have not. Most 20-somethings have not experienced what it is to spend their lives hustling to mane a buck and as such have no concept of how the left preys upon them. They have little life experience and their naivete is reinforced either by an academic establishment awash with leftism or a pop culture awash with the same.

Then you are ignoring the data. The shift is deeper than just people who don't earn their keep. Lots of middle and high-earners voting Dem

you should try to get your point across a little better because i read it how you said it.

I’m not deflecting anything. I said that we as a generation, on average, reached adulthood in a post 9/11 world. That is 100% accurate. You misread what I wrote as saying that I, personally, grew up after 9/11. I’ve repeatedly attempted to explain why that’s not a reasonable reading of what I wrote. I genuinely don’t understand why you’re so intent to cling to that misreading.

Millenials are like any other group: some winners and some losers. But to act like you are some massive outlier in being a successful, responsible Millenial is the snowflakiest bullshite I’ve heard in quite some time.

Embrace your generation. It won’t hurt. I promise

This is a self own. Your very own math confirms that most millennials were raised by boomers, and that’s without counting millennials born to parents over 30.

LOL.

Average age of new mothers in 1972 was 21. By 2016, it was 26. Let's split the difference. Call it 24 for the duration of millennials(which is being kind). And, we average about 2 children per mom over that duration. Average age gap between siblings in the U.S. is 2.5 years. I'll use 3.

Doing that........and using only 1999 as the latest year(which hurts my point).......55% of millennials born would be born to mothers born after 1964.

So. Millennials were largely raised by us good old Xers.

But the millenials were born 81-95.

It's probably close to a 50/50 split if I had to guess. The older half were likely raised by Boomers and the younger half X.

RamRod says 1996. I can live with that. Then it's basically an even split.

That said, xiv responded to a post that went all the way to 2004 and said the math didn't work.

So yeah. He was wrong.

Both sides can learn from the other.

Older generation can teach young folks about fiscal responsibility and incentivizing innovation by keeping what you earn.

Younger generation can teach the older one about embracing socially liberal policies and minding your own business. Live and let live.

All can benefit from reducing the size of government.

6/11 of the parents you describe as having raised millennials in your previous post were born in the window you describe as the Baby Boom. Sorry, but it’s an own goal by you.

If you try to predict behavior by simple economic measures, you’re going to be wrong most of the time.

And this is a great example. People are voting for socialists not necessarily because they’ll benefit, but because they buy into the social justice narrative, or they believe in top down, strong arm, goverment. It’s a question of identity, and what they want society to look like, more than anything else.

Maybe he just couldn’t get too excited about a guy who doesn’t know the difference between reins and reigns.

Alright, so based on this pic, where do you guys fall in the generation timeline, in terms of childhood fads and stuff?

Your so dum. You described specifically people born to parents under 30; 6/11 of the parents of those you described are Baby Boomers. THEN virtually all of the parents of millennials over 30 are also Boomers. Let it go, and brush up on your critical thinking. Kisses n prayers.
