Blow up the planet from orbit. It's the only way to be sure

This really is the only answer. Look at history.
Nothing short of bloodshed or Jesus returning is going to turn this thing around.

-Somehow we need to go back to state based system.-
We have a state-based remedy in Art. V of the Constitution. States force a call for an amendments convention to propose term limits, fiscal restraints, and reducing the power of the federal government. The states control this convention and the the normal ratification of 3/4 of the states after the convention. At the convention, it's one state-one vote. The convention cannot be stopped by Congress, President, or the SCOTUS. 15 states have already approved this (including Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Texas). This is the best remedy short of violence. See Convention of States.
On paper this sounds great, but... our state governments are just as corrupt as the federal government. All of them are cut from the same cloth. They aren't on our side.

Democratic lottery. By the way, we the people are the term limits. We are the dumbasses that keep voting the same assholes into office
I no longer believe we've actually elected/re-elected as many of those dumbasses as we think. The 2020 election proved that to me.

Vince Flynn wrote a book about this that would work. Term Limits, you should read it.

A doable step would be to turn Congress into a virtual congress to keep those elected under more local and regional influences. Too many people get elected reflecting their district and state, but then go to DC, drink the water and turn their coat around. Keeping closer to local influences would reduce that effect.
This would have a couple of other benefits. Politicians tend to spend money on things that are close to them. DC's massive road building splurge is only the most recent. Politicians locally centered are more likely to spend toward local needs.
Also, this would preclude the "Designated Survivor" scenario. It would also inconvenience lobbyists.

I voted in Trump
People got offended and he was mean.
Americans lied about wanting to clean up Washington. They don’t want to see the ugliness of rooting out corruption and deceit.

I do... I really, really do... The "ugliness" is the only way to root out the corruption that we have...

Unfortunately most of these “Untouchables” are not aligned with the America First movement so that makes them an impediment to securing the future of America as the founders intended.
Well first off, the founders made the country white only. This is shown by the immigration standards set by the first congress. I know people really hate that, but it really is what the founders intended.
If you can't cross that bridge of the ethnonationalism the founders intended the first thing to do is to remove anyone with dual citizenship from government. That does remove a lot of people with middle east citizenship... That would remove a shite ton of the corruption and fix a lot of cultural ills.

Agreed, it’s going to be an ugly and ruthless fight, and if they don’t allow the guy wanting to clean it up some room to throw haymakers it will never get cleaned up.
