ANTIFA is a fascist terrorist group. What’s so hard to understand about this? Anything Trump does to show that will be banned on social media.

Historians came forward and said they had no idea those were nazi symbols and that facebook was really grapsing at straws going to such obscure lengths to remove the ads.
So using what passes for woke logic in today's society:
Triangles are racist symbols, therefore must be banned. Since triangles are the basis of trigonometry and geometry, therefore they must be banned.
Side effect:
GPSs require trig to geometry function, so no more GPS.
Now the fun part, hand soy boy a paper map and watch his head explode.

Wasn’t Antifa is Germany the extreme left communists against the so called extreme right Nazis?
I’m always confused by the left right paradigms describing Germany. They seem like all left wing extremists groups fighting each other.

Can someone give me a link to the banned ad? Thanks in advance!

It’s in the article I posted.

The text of the ad isn’t what got it banned. What is your explanation for the triangle?

Labeling them to make a distinction from actual protesters? Why was it taken down, cause if it could be used to attack Trump it wouldn’t have been so the label must be exposure to ANTIFA that they don’t want.

Pretty fricking provocative.
Really?
It was used by Nazis . . .
to identify prisoners as Communist.
Hence Antifa communists' identification with and use of the symbol.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, the inverted triangle "is practically identical to that used by the Nazi regime to classify political prisoners in concentration camps".
The Nazis also used the star of david to classify prisoners. The creators of the victim mindset and hate speech laws need to find a new symbol.

So the ADL gets mad about a symbol used by antifa and has to do some digging to find out it was also used in Nazi Germany for political prisoners, yet they don’t update the list of hate symbols to include it. Hmm...
They also show the anti-antifa symbol as a hate symbol, but not the one used by antifa, you know the group who has been promoting riots, intolerance, etc. Double hmm...

quote:FWIW.
As a gay man I feel I am a child of the Holocaust. The LGTBQ community has a direct kinship to those gay men, lesbians and transgender people who were forced to wear the pink triangle as they were marched into the death camps of Nazi Germany.
What I am drawing from this controversy is the need for our community to reclaim the pink triangle.
In the wake of the Supreme Court decision validating same gender marriage, many of us wanted to believe that we had entered an “end of history” in the struggle for LGBTQ civil rights.
Sure there were pockets of resistance, but the arc of history was bent in our favor and our equality seemed inevitable. But with the Trump Administration’s undermining of our civil rights and engaging in an out right assault on the legal rights of transgender people and a corresponding spike in violence against the gender non-conforming, we have to respond the call for a return to militancy.
The pink triangle was symbol for our struggle pre-dating Stonewall. It was the symbol of Act Up when our community faced genocide by government bigotry and indifference.
