I'm for welfare reform across the board

I'm against illegal immigration

Add it up

Thinking a wall is a dumb, wasteful vanity project boondoggle is not equal to being muh open borders

But at the end of the day, wall or no wall isn't going to bother me too much either way

I don’t think a wall would be necessary at all if any politician was serious about curbing illegal hiring or entitlement reform

Sadly, they are not

And Dems want their third world voters

The transformation from "illegal immigration" and "you have to go home" to "border security" and "islamic extremists" is hilarious to watch

A plan that only targets employers isn’t a serious plan and you know it

It’s obvious they want to go after the employers not because of illegal
Immigration, but to punish the “wealthy”. I don’t buy it from them.

You seem to have a problem discerning "spin" from "reality".

This is spin:

democrat shutdown of the government

This is reality:

Stop a meaningless win for Trump.

Plus, they know the media won't point out that the liberals are essentially shutting the government down for illegal immigrants who haven't even started their journey yet.

And the wall will take years to build so we are talking about something that won't even begin to curtail illegal immigration for years to come.

Should be pretty easy for the media to point out this FACT. Democrats are shutting the government down to aid people who won't even leave for the US for several years.

All to keep a meaningless victory from Trump.

Exactly

Probably the majority of the ones crossing are looking to work, but there’s still a large percentage that knows the entitlement system here is better than life in whatever country they came from

And they’ll vote accordingly

Jesus

The point is, they aren't going after the employers

Mainly because they are wealthy

CelticDog will never agree to curtail entitlements. So that tells you all you need to know about his motives for his “solution” to illegal immigration.

So your “solution” to illegal immigration is predicated on class envy?

Good lord
I think it would be a good idea to hold people accountable under the law regardless of their "class"

I don't understand how you come up with some of your non sequiturs

What’s your view on sanctuary cities and their disregard for federal law, Mr law man?

Do you think federal funds should be withheld from "sanctuary cities"? If you are for punishing employers surely you're for punishing cities who harbor them?

We have border security, and Democrats are willing to spend more on that, just not a symbolic, expensive, impractical and nearly useless wall.

Please for the love of God provide one expert with experience that actually says a border wall is “useless”! I keep hearing this talking point but not one real expert have I heard say that!
