I gave money just to make it look like it had some huge steam behind it. I knew it wouldnt make it and knew I'd get it back. Once they turned it into some other, weird, fund as they go thing, I requested the full refund.

This is not accurate. GoFundMe issued refunds with an opt in based solely on the redirection of the money to a newly incorporated entity. Millions of dollars were opted in.

If he is the same baw who donated to the fake news put out by the fraud who set up the account, let him know he is not alone. There was a greater chance of a Sarah Palin abstinence speech working on her kids than this scam reaching 2 billion.
